Best day yet. We rode the subway to the Paris Opera House which exceeded our expectations tenfold. We saw the "box" which inspired Phantom of the Opera. The lobby was amazing and it overlooked the "Rue" which leads to the Louve. There were lots of street performers which the students loved. After some shopping, we took the subway to Montmarte which is the artsy part of town which had steep steep hills with the Sacred Heart Cathedral at the top. Picasso lived And created in this area. There were dozens of artists selling their goods and quite a few students had their portraits done with charcoal. We had a brief rain shower but enjoyed strolling the narrow streets of this section of the town. We reboarded the subway for a quick ride home. It was an amazing day and the students were pretty tired. We stayed close for dinner and went to bed early. We are up early today for an 8:30 departure to Giverney (Monet). And then onto Deauville on the coast. We load the buses in a bit. Bon Jour!
